All work and no play is not good

All right! So, the creative process is not easy. If it was easy, then everyone would be doing it. We work long hard hours. We meet deadlines. Sometimes they are ridiculously short deadlines. We burn the midnight oil. We work overtime. Two shifts. Yes, even weekends if we have to – begrudgingly. We take our work very seriously. It has made us successful. It keeps us successful.

But sometimes, we need to recharge our batteries. We need to play. Renew the creative spirit. Clean out the cob webs. That is what Woods Bay Design is all about. Have some fun. Play hard. Enjoy life. Live your dreams. Hike, swim, read, paddle, sing, dance. Enjoy. Move or die.

We've got ideas. Lot's of ideas. Some are good. Some aren't. We hope to have some fun pursuing some of our best ideas. Woods Bay Design is our playground.

guitar

John has played music most of his life. He plays guitar in a rock-blues band called The Smokin' Woodpeckers. This photo, featured on the Abacus Graphics web site, John shot of one of the band's other guitarists, Ken, playing his strat. John is a master with Photoshop. A little touch of magic?

the birds ...

The birds must know something we don't know. We need to learn to be more like them. Head north in the summer. Head south in the winter. It makes good sense. Visit the high country. See the sights. Spread your wings and soar. Be free. Sounds like fun to me. Mountains. Lakes. Rivers. Trees. Mother earth. There are so many wonderful sites to see, and adventures to experience. It gives us perspective.

Life is short. Too short to drink cheap wine. Seize the day. Be in the moment. Meditate. Bang a drum. Live life now while you are able. Don't wait. Go for it. This is how we aspire to be. It feeds our souls. It makes us feel alive and fulfilled.
